His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), on Tuesday attended the military's celebration of the anniversary of the Army Day and the Great Arab Revolt.
The King bestowed medals on several officers and members of the JAF, the Public Security Department, the General Intelligence Department and the Civil Defense Department in recognition of their services and distinguished track records.
His Majesty also bestowed medals on members of the JAF and security personnel who were injured in line of duty.
The King watered an olive tree at the Martyr's Monument, where the ceremony was held, and signed the visitors' register, congratulating the JAF on the two occasions.
Also Tuesday, the Supreme Commander attended a military drill performed by one of the JAF's units to mark the two national occasions.
