His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday issued prompt directives to offer treatment to pilgrims injured in a Dead Sea road accident and later in the day deputised Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh to check on their conditions.
After visiting the survivors, Tarawneh said Jordanian authorities responded to the “tragedy” in a highly responsible and professional manner.
At least 17 people were killed and 38 injured in a road accident involving a bus and two other vehicles on the Dead Sea road on Saturday.
