His Majesty King Abdullah joined worshippers in performing Friday prayers at the Great Nablus Mosque.

King Abdullah listened to a sermon delivered by Chief Islamic Justice Ahmad Hilayel, in which he underlined the significance of mosques as a place for worship and fostering solidarity among members of the community.

The three-storey JD2 million mosque in the capital's Dahiyat Al Yasmin neighbourhood, built upon a donation by Najib Zummar, can accommodate around 2,000 worshippers.
