His Majesty King Abdullah II held a trilateral meeting with France President Emmanuel Macron and Lebanon President Gen. Joseph Aoun in Paris on Thursday, during which they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in areas of mutual interest.
Emphasising the significance of France hosting the latest round of Aqaba Process meetings, the leaders underscored the importance of these meetings, which will explore ways to support the Lebanese Armed Forces and Internal Security Forces to enable them to carry out their duties in safeguarding the security and safety of the Lebanese people.
Discussions also touched on the overall situation in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, as well as recent regional escalations, with the three leaders emphasising the need to step up international efforts to achieve comprehensive and sustainable de-escalation that restores stability to the region.
