King Holds Talks with Sudanese President

His Majesty King Abdullah II and Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al Bashir on Monday stressed the necessity to boost bilateral relations in economic, political and military spheres and strengthen cooperation in investment and trade areas.



During a two expanded rounds of talks at the guest palace, the two leaders also affirmed the necessity to continue meetings at the highest level and to establish a banking organization to help fund barter trade between the two countries and encourage businessmen to launch joint investment ventures.



To that end a host of agreements will be signed between the two countries and His Majesty the King asserted Jordan's readiness to offer every possible assistance to Sudan particularly in health, education and agricultural fields.



King Abdullah highly appreciated the Sudanese government steps to establish peace in southern Sudan and achieve economic growth in this part of the country though it has suffered years of conflict. He also paid tribute to President Bashir's effort to preserve his country's unity and achieve progress and prosperity to his countrymen.



Referring to the situation in the Arab region, the two leaders underlined the necessity to convene the Arab summit as soon as possible and to prepare well for the summit so as to come up with resolutions that back Arab solidarity and boost the joint Arab action.



The also stressed the need for an immediate international efforts to end the cycle of violence in the occupied Palestinian land and to stop Israel's practices against the Palestinian people.



The two leaders voiced their deep worry about the deteriorating security in Iraq and affirmed their support to Iraq's unity and territorial integrity and stressed the need for an Arab and international support to help the Iraqis surmount this crisis.
