King Abdullah and the Saudi monarch also discussed Arab coordination and a unified Arab stand that would create a suitable atmosphere for ending the conflict and establishing an independent Palestinian state.

During the talks, the two leaders underlined the urgent need for internal Palestinian accord, saying that division undermined Palestinian interests. Talks also addressed the need for joint Arab action and cooperation to protect Arabs' national interests and meet the challenges before the region.
