His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday held talks with Bahrain's King Hamad Ben Issa Al Khalifa which focused on bilateral relations and regional developments, especially efforts to achieve peace.
During their meeting in Manama, the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations and reaffirmed commitment to cooperation, particularly in the economic, commercial and cultural fields.
They also exchanged views on various regional and Arab issues and stressed the need for Arab cooperation in developing a unified stance to deal with regional issues and joint challenges.
King Abdullah and the Bahraini monarch discussed the efforts to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis of the two-state solution and within a comprehensive regional context.
Both leaders stressed that the international community must intensify its efforts to achieve tangible progress in the peace process.
The Bahraini monarch expressed his appreciation for King Abdullah's efforts to activate peace and develop Arab solidarity.
