King Heads for Germany

His Majesty King Abdullah II headed to Munich on Saturday for one night visit where He will deliver a speech tomorrow before the participants in 40th Forum of Munich for security policy, whose deliberation has already started on Friday. HRH Prince Faisal sworn in as a Regent.



His Majesty was invited to deliver a keynote address at session devoted to deals with the Middle East issues under the title "Where does the Middle East Go to?". Addressing over 250 participants, King Abdullah will clarify the Arab viewpoint regarding the region's issues, particularly the situation in Iraq and Palestine. His Majesty will also emphasize the true image of Islam and the Islamic values, that respect pluralism, call for tolerance and denounce terrorism.



His Majesty was accompanied by the King's Advisor for Security Affairs Director of General Intelligence Department Maj. General Saed Kheir and Minister of Royal Court Samir Rifai.



Defense Ministers of the US, Russia, Germany, France, Secretary NATO Secretary General, the EU Coordinator Solana and German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer participate in the forum in addition to other international figures.



Munich Forum is one of the most important platforms dealing with security and peace policies. Since its establishment in 1962, the forum's activities focus on Europe's security policies and the challenges facing American-European relations, as well as international issues and conflicts and ways of finding solutions for them.
