His Majesty King Abdullah left for Manama on Sunday to offer his condolences to King Hamad Ben Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain over the death of his mother Sheikha Hessa Bint Salman Al Khalifa.
King Abdullah was due to head from Manama to Brunei Darussalam, where he will meet Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and discuss means to foster bilateral relations in different fields and issues of mutual concern, especially those pertaining to the Muslim world.
King Abdullah is scheduled to attend the 2009 International Defence Exhibition (BRIDEX) in Brunei Darussalam.
Held between August 12 and 15, BRIDEX, a major defence and security event in Southeast Asia, will be held this year with the participation of leading manufacturers and suppliers of defence security equipment and systems from across the entire supply chain.
HRH Prince Feisal was sworn in as Regent for the duration of the King's absence.
