His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday granted a cash bonus to members of the national football team Nashama, including players, coaches and administrators in recognition of their achievement at the Asian Cup tournament in Qatar.
The team qualified for quarter-finals in the continental event after a successful first round, which they finished undefeated.
King Abdullah on Monday spoke by phone with His Royal Highness Prince Ali, president of the Jordan Football Association, the West Asian Football Federation and FIFA Vice President for Asia, along with team coach Adnan Hamad and team captain Hatem Aqel.
Also on Monday evening, King Abdullah and Her Majesty Queen Rania both called in to Jordan Television's News At Eight, congratulating Jordanians for Nashama's win.
