His Majesty King Abdullah II expressed hope that choosing Iyad Allawi as president of the Iraqi interim government would be a step in the path of full liberation of Iraq, enhancing its unity and enabling its people to overcome the current crisis, re establish their institutions and run their affairs by themselves.



In his cable, which was sent on Saturday to the President of the Iraqi interim government, His Majesty expressed support for all efforts and steps that aim at ending occupation, rebuilding Iraq, enhancing its independence and charting its future in a way that achieves the Iraqi people's aspirations.
