His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, on Sunday expressed his keenness on developing and modernizing armed forces through training and providing troops with up-to-date equipment and arms. In a letter addressed to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Khalid Sarayreh on the occasion of his birthday, the King expressed his pride in the members of the armed forces, highlighting their noble mission in protecting Jordan and serving in the UN-led peacekeeping forces around the world.
