His Majesty King Abdullah and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Monday discussed Arab and international action taken to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and alleviate the resulting humanitarian catastrophe.

During a phone call with President Mubarak, King Abdullah confirmed Jordan's support for Egypt's efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire and relieve human suffering. He also voiced his appreciation of Egypt's leading role on Arab issues, particularly concerning Palestine and the rights of the Palestinian people.

Both leaders also agreed to continue joint coordination and consultation to achieve a ceasefire and provide all possible support and assistance to the people of Gaza.
