His Majesty King Abdullah will hold talks on Wednesday with French President Nicolas Sarkozy, which will focus on ways to increase cooperation between the two countries.
During King Abdullah’s scheduled visit to Paris, the two leaders will also discuss the latest developments in the region, a Royal Court statement said.
The King will also meet with French Prime Minister Francois Fillon to examine prospects of bilateral cooperation in various fields, the statement said.
Jordan has been pushing for restarting the Middle East peace process, urging the international community to work for bringing the Palestinians and Israelis to the negotiating table, amid Israeli intransigence over settlements and a Palestinian bid to seek recognition of statehood by the UN General Assembly.
