His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday held talks with Icelandic President Olafur Grimsson focusing on the latest regional developments and the Middle East peace process.
The two leaders examined the main obstacles hampering efforts to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli dispute.
King Abdullah and Grimsson, who arrived in the Kingdom for a short visit on Monday, reiterated their commitment to build strong cooperation, particularly in economic and commercial fields.
In this regard, the King referred to opportunities available to increase joint commercial exchanges and investment projects.
For his part, Grimsson expressed his country's desire to develop its relations with Jordan. He also extended Iceland's appreciation for the King's efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
