King discusses peace efforts with Abbas

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday discussed with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas regional and international efforts being exerted to launch serious and effective negotiations to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis of the two-state solution.

During a telephone call, King Abdullah and Abbas underlined the importance of relaunching negotiations as soon as possible in accordance with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The King and the Palestinian president also emphasised the need for an end to all unilateral Israeli measures, particularly settlement building.
