His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II on Tuesday visited the Civil Defence Department (CDD).

King Abdullah met with Lt. Gen. Talal Kofahi, the department's director, and was briefed on its achievements, training programmes and future plans.

His Majesty voiced his appreciation for CDD personnel's efforts to safeguard the country's achievements.

The King also met with the CDD firefighters who put out the large blaze that erupted last week at the Farah Hospital expansion building in Amman and thanked them for their efforts.
