His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday attended the celebrations of Libyan President Muammar Qadhafi on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the president's accession to power.

King Abdullah, who was received by Qadhafi at the airport, congratulated the Libyan leader on the occasion. Qadhafi held an iftar banquet in honour of King Abdullah and the visiting delegations.

The celebrations were attended by several leaders from around the world.

The King and the delegations attending the celebrations observed several military parades. His Royal Highness Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein and Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi were also among the attendees.
