King Confers Upon USAID Director the Independence Medal

His Majesty King Abdullah II conferred upon Director of the USAID in Jordan Tony Christiansen Wagner the Independence Medal of the First Order in appreciation of the efforts she has exerted to enhance Jordanian-US ties economic ties, as well as the USAID's contribution in financing developmental projects in the Kingdom.
Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania Al Abdullah who received Mrs. Wagner today, expressed thanks and appreciation for her contributions in making programs of the agency in Jordan a success.
Over the past five years, the USAID provided Jordan with aid totaling over $1billion that focused on the water and health sectors as well as economic opportunities.
During the meeting which was attended day Planning Minister Basim m Awadallah, Mrs. Wagner said that progress that has been achieved in Jordan over the past five came in implementation of His Majesty's vision as well as efforts that he exerted to develop Jordan and improve the standards of living of its citizens.
