His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday sent a cable to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Ben Zayed Al Nahayan offering condolences over the passing away of Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.



In the cable, King Abdullah expressed sympathies and voiced Jordan's support for the UAE government and people.



His Majesty sent a similar condolences cable to Sheikh Mohammed Ben Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE's Minister of Defence.



Also today, the Royal Court offered condolences over the loss of Sheikh Maktoum and declared one-week mourning.
