His Majesty King Abdullah II on Thursday denounced the assassination of Pakistan's former prime minister and leader of Pakistan People's Party Benazir Bhutto in a suicide attack.

In a cable sent to President Pervez Musharraf, His Majesty strongly condemned the criminal attack, stressing that Jordan stands by the Pakistani people in their ordeal to overcome the consequences of this grave attack.

King Abdullah expressed his deepest condolences and sympathies to Bhutto's family, the families of Pakistani individuals who were killed in the attack and the Pakistani president and people.
