His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday directed the government to cooperate with the Iraqi government in treating those injured in the terrorist attack that took place in a Baghdad church Sunday evening.
The attack, in which armed militants took hostages at Our Lady of Deliverance Church in Baghdad, left dozens dead and many others injured after Iraqi forces entered the church to rescue the trapped worshippers.
King Abdullah instructed that the wounded be provided with appropriate medical care in the Kingdom's hospitals.
He also sent a cable of condolences to Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Monday condemning the attack against the Christian community and stressing the Kingdom's full support for Iraq in combating all forms of terrorism.
