His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday commuted death sentences passed against seven men to 15 years in prison for their role in the 2002 Maan riots that left six people dead.

The seven were part of a group of 108, who stood trial at the State Security Court (SSC) for almost a year for their role in the riots which also injured dozens of citizens and resulted in the destruction of some government properties.
