King Calls for Immediate Ceasefire

His Majesty King Abdullah strongly condemned the massacre of the Israeli forces in Qana south of Lebanon, which led to the death of innocent civilians including women and children.

During a telephone call on Sunday with Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora, the King described the Israeli massacre as a criminal and cowardly act that violates all international law.

The King called for an immediate ceasefire and called the international community act responsibly to end the Israeli aggression Lebanon.

The King expressed Jordan's solidarity with Lebanon and told Siniora that Jordan would continue contacts with international powers to bring about an end to the conflict.

In a statement earlier today, King Abdullah condemned the Israeli crime in Qana.
