His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday reiterated the importance of fostering Jordanian-Russian ties, particularly in cultural and economic spheres.

During a meeting with former Russian president Boris Yeltsin, discussions also covered the latest regional developments and efforts exerted to revive the Middle East peace process.

Yeltsin, who has concluded a private visit to the country, commended the King's efforts to establish peace in the region.
