His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday received a phone call from US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, conveying US President Barack Obama's invitation to attend a meeting among Obama, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair prior the launch of direct Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.

Clinton also briefed King Abdullah on American preparations to relaunch direct negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis to achieve peace on the basis of a two-state solution.
