His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday held talks with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifah of Bahrain on bilateral relations and developments in the Middle East, particularly the worsening conditions in Syria.

The two leaders hailed Jordanian-Bahraini relations and discussed ways of cementing cooperation to achieve the interests of the two peoples in all fields and strengthening joint Arab solidarity.

The Bahraini monarch congratulated King Abdullah on Jordan’s successful parliamentary elections, considered one of the most important milestones in the reform process.

The two leaders exchanged views on developments in the Arab world, especially the situation in Syria, where they stressed the need to reach a comprehensive solution to the deteriorating situation there. King Abdullah pointed to Jordan's efforts to provide aid and relief services to Syrian refugees.

The talks touched on efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.

His Majesty and King Hamad stressed keenness to maintain coordination and consultation to serve Arab and Islamic issues.

They also tackled the outcome of the Arab Socio-Economic Summit, held recently in the Saudi capital Riyadh, calling for building on the results of the summit, which promotes economic cooperation and development among Arab countries and enhances Arab integration in various fields.

The talks dealt with the first international donors conference for Syria, which will be held on Wednesday in Kuwait.

King Hamad hosted a dinner banquet in honor of King Abdullah and his accompanying delegation.
