His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, attended the graduation ceremony of the 24th class of Mutah University’s military wing on Wednesday.
At the ceremony, King Abdullah presented awards to top achievers. In an address marking the occasion, Mutah University President Abdul Rahim Huneiti highlighted the university’s programmes and commended its graduates for their distinguished performance.
Several members of the Royal family and senior officials and officers attended the ceremony. Established in 1981, Mutah University was named after one of the greatest battles in the early Islamic era against the Byzantines, seen as a turning point in the history of Islam.
