King attends military drill

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, watched a tactical military exercise carried out by a joint special operations unit on Monday.

King Abdullah was briefed on the exercise proceedings, in the presence of King’s Military Adviser and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben, His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, and several senior officers.

The exercise included fighting simulated near residential areas, supported by special back up aircraft that joined the army fleet recently, and by fighter helicopters.

His Majesty commended the advanced skills of the members of the joint special operations unit.
