His Majesty King Abdullah, the supreme commander of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), attended the military's celebrations marking Army Day and the Great Arab Revolt at the Martyr's Monument in Amman.

During the ceremony, held by the JAF, King Abdullah bestowed medals on several officers and members of the JAF, the Public Security Department, the General Intelligence Department, the Civil Defence Department and the Gendarmerie Department.

The King also presented medals to members of the JAF and security personnel who have been injured in the line of duty.
