King attends International Warrior Competition

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, on Wednesday attended the opening of the Fourth International Warrior Competition.

A total of 35 teams, comprising special operations and anti-terrorism forces from 18 neighbouring and allied countries are participating in the competition.

The competition included a practical exercise conducted by the Anti-terrorism Battalion 71, which involved flight operations using helicopters to flush terrorists out of buildings.

The competition seeks to boost the skills of special operations, security and police forces to support peacekeeping efforts.

His Royal Highness Prince Feisal, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mashal Al Zaben, senior military officers, ambassadors and military attachés from participating countries were also present at the opening of the competition.
