King attends Independence Day ceremony

Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania on Saturday attended a ceremony marking the Kingdom's 67th Independence Day, together with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and all state authorities.

Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, Senate President Taher Masri, Lower House Speaker Saad Srour, Judicial Council President Hisham Tal delivered speeches highlighting the Kingdom’s many achievements under the Hashemite leadership.

King Abdullah bestowed medals and orders of various types upon several institutions and a group of distinguished figures in recognition of their efforts in supporting the Kingdom's ongoing development.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Royal Family, senior officials, high-ranking officers, diplomats, political party leaders, unionists, and public figures.
