His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday attended an iftar banquet held in his honour by General Intelligence Department (GID) Director Lt. Gen. Mohammad Raqqad.

During the banquet, King Abdullah stressed the importance of dealing with citizens’ issues with transparency in a manner that “reflects the image of Jordan as a civilised country”.

He expressed his confidence in the ability of the GID personnel to carry out their national duty of protecting the Kingdom in light of the current challenges facing the region.
