His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday telephoned Syrian President Bashar Assad and discussed means to cement bilateral ties.

King Abdullah also expressed his deepest sympathies over Saturday's terror bombing in Damascus, which claimed 17 lives and several injuries, stressing Jordan's solidarity with Syria to overcome the impact of the attack.

His Majesty on Saturday sent a cable to Assad expressing Jordan's sympathy and support for Syria.
