King arrives in Swedish capital

His Majesty King Abdullah II arrived in Stockholm at the end of a working tour to Europe that included Belgium and Britain.

The King will meet tomorrow with Swedish King Carl Gustaf XVI.

He will also hold talks with Prime Minister Fredrick Reinfeldt and Foreign Minister Carl Bildt on the latest developments in the Middle East, mainly efforts to achieve a permanent and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

Talks in Sweden, which assumes the rotating presidency of the European Union early next month, will also deal with bilateral cooperation in various fields.

The King is accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Faisal and Prince Hamzah Bin Al Hussein, Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi, the King's Advisor Ayman Safadi, Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh, Environment Minister Khalid Irani and Jordan's non-resident ambassador to Sweden Isa Ayoub.
