His Majesty King Abdullah II arrived in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur on the second leg of his Asian tour that started in Indonesia and will conclude in Pakistan on Friday.



His Majesty's talks will cover issues and challenges that face the Islamic nation as well as the need for concerted efforts to confront attempts that aim to distort the true principles of Islam and link it with terrorism.



His Majesty's talks with Malaysian King, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, will focus on bilateral ties, mechanisms of promoting them in various fields, efforts to establish peace in the Middle East as well as issues of concern to the Islamic world.



King Abdullah is accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi Bin Mohammad, His Majesty's Personal Envoy and Special Advisor, Chief of the Royal Court Faisal Al Fayez, Deputy Director of National Security and Acting Director of the King's Private Office Ma'rouf Al Bakhit and Foreign Minister Farouq Qasrawi.



His Majesty held talks in Jakarta yesterday with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on means of developing relations between the two countries as well as issues of common concern.



King Abdullah agreed with the Indonesian president to work together to ensure the success of efforts being exerted by His Majesty to elucidate the true principles of Islam which reject terrorism and extremism.



The two leaders held the same views on the importance of supporting the Middle East peace process, leading to the establishment of a just and comprehensive peace in accordance with the road map and international resolutions.
