His Majesty King Abdullah arrived in Berlin on Monday evening for a two-day working visit to Germany, as part of Jordan’s efforts to meet the challenges the Middle East is witnessing, and to discuss relations between the two countries.
The King is scheduled to hold talks in Berlin today with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and senior German officials, including President of the Bundestag (the German parliament) Norbert Lammert, members of the Bundestag’s Committee on Foreign Affairs and German Minister of Foreign Affairs Guido Westerwelle.
The meetings will focus on the current political developments in the region and efforts to achieve peace between the Palestinians and Israelis based on a two-state solution.
Discussions will also address ways to foster Jordanian-German bilateral cooperation, especially in economic fields.
