King arrives in Azerbaijan

His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday met with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev who held a dinner banquet in the King's honour.

King Abdullah arrived in Baku at the beginning of a two-day official visit to the central Asian country and is scheduled to hold talks with both President Aliyev and Prime Minister Artur Rasizade.

The two sides will examine means to develop cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of economy, commerce and energy.

Upon arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, King Abdullah was accorded an official welcoming ceremony, led by senior Azerbaijani officials as well as the Jordanian Ambassador in Baku and a number of Arab envoys to the central Asian nation.

King Abdullah is accompanied by Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi, King's Adviser Ayman Safadi, Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh, and King's Envoy for Central Asian States Abdullah Wreikat.
