His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday arrived in Abu Dhabi for a one-day visit to meet UAE President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayid before leaving for Singapore to take part in the World Economic Forum's Asia Roundtable 2005.
King Abdullah was received at the airport by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Shaikh Mohammad bin Zayid and other senior officials.
Around 250 prominent economic, government, academic and media figures from 34 countries are expected to take part in the two-day event organized in cooperation with the Singapore Economic Development Board under the working theme, Tilting the global balance: The strategic implications of Asia's growth.
Participants will exchange views on recent political and economic developments in Asia and the World. They will also discuss economic integration, globalization, competitiveness and economic challenges facing Asian decision-makers.
In a keynote address to the April 28-29 meeting, King Abdullah will shed light on the political and economic developments in the Middle East as well as Jordan's reform and development plans.
King Abdullah and Singaporean and Asian leaders will discuss latest political developments in the region and means to enhance economic and trade ties between Jordan and Asian countries.
