Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on Wednesday met U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs Elizabeth Cheney.

Talks during the meeting touched upon areas of bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual concern.

King Abdullah expressed Jordan's appreciation to the United States for its assistance to back Jordan's economy and help push the development process in the Kingdom forward.

King Abdullah and Queen Rania held a dinner banquet in honour of Cheney attended by Royal Court Chief, Foreign Minister, Planning Minister and the U.S. Ambassador in Amman.
