King Affirms Jordan's Support to the Iraqi Government

His Majesty king Abdullah II affirmed Jordan's full support to the Iraqi government in its quest to create a relevant climate that paves the way for holding elections in all parts of Iraq with the participation of all segments of the Iraqi society without exception.



During a meeting on Wednesday with the Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, Planning and International Cooperation Minister Mahdi Hafez and Health Minister Dr. Ala'a Abdul Sahib, His Majesty stressed that Jordan will continue supporting Iraq in all fields including the training of Iraqi security and police forces and the reconstruction of Iraq.



King Abdullah also affirmed, during the meeting which was attended by Minister of the Hashemite Royal Court Sameer Rifai and Foreign Minister Dr. Hani Mulki, the necessity of supporting Iraq in its efforts to achieve solidarity and understanding and regain security and stability.



The Iraqi premier for his part expressed his country's appreciation of efforts being exerted by His Majesty to urge the international community to take part in the reconstruction process
in Iraq and rally support for steps taken by the interim Iraqi government to hold the elections.
