King Affirms the Importance of Setting a Date for the Arab Summit

His Majesty King Abdullah II, affirmed the importance of setting a date for the Arab summit as soon as possible.



In a telephone call with the Egyptian President, Mohammad Husni Muarak on Sunday, His Majesty welcomed the decision to hold the upcoming Arab summit in Egypt.



The King expressed regret over postponing the summit which was scheduled to start in Tunis on Monday.



King Abdullah affirmed that Jordan will work, in coordination and consultation with the Arab brethren, to provide all requirements to ensure the success of the upcoming Arab summit.



"Under the current Arab and regional circumstances, Arabs should have a unified position that fulfils hopes and aspirations of Arab peoples," His Majesty added.
