In a letter to Rifai, the King expressed gratitude for his services at the Royal Court's different departments “where you have enjoyed my full confidence in your service and appreciation for your performance, loyalty and integrity... As to your desire to leave your present post to head an Arab investment fund in Jordan, I give my consent well confident that through your new post you will contribute to what we aspire to achieve in development projects to enhance the national economy and create numerous job opportunities that would help us overcome the problems of poverty and unemployment, benefiting the whole country.”
