His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday accepted the credentials of five new ambassadors accredited to the Royal Hashemite Court.

King Abdullah received ambassadors Afifah Al Mallah of Tunisia and Michelin Paz of Lebanon, as well as non-resident envoys Archsukw Gerhard of Austria, Portugal's Antonio Manuel Morbira Tanger Correa and Avani Spahiu of Kosovo.

His Majesty was greeted by a guard of honour and a military band played the national anthem as he arrived at Basman Palace for the ceremony, which was attended by Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh.

The national anthems of the envoys' countries were also played as they arrived at the Palace and later laid wreaths at the tombs of the late King Hussein, King Abdullah I and King Talal.
