His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces opened today the Special Operation Forces Exhibition (SOFEX 2002) which is one of the most important military exhibitions in the region.

His Majesty toured the site of the exhibition where he watched performances for vehicles, equipments and weapons used in special operations.

The King also toured all sections and pavilions of the exhibition which is organized by the Armed Forces, expressing admiration over the advanced level of the defence products and industries.

The opening ceremony was attended by number princes and princesses, the prime minister, Royal Court chief, the Senate president and other high ranking officials.

Meanwhile, His Majesty met with the His Royal Highness Duke of York Prince Andrew who arrived in Amman to attend the SOFEX exhibition.

Talks during the meeting covered relations between Jordan and the UK.
