His Majesty King Abdullah II and President of the European Commission Roman Brudi on Wednesday discussed Jordan-Euro ties of cooperation in the wake of the Euro-Jordanian Association Agreement which came into effect last May.

King Abdullah and Brudi expressed hope that the agreement would reflect positively on Jordan's economy and help increase trade volume between Jordan and the EU countries as well as European investment in the Kingdom.

The talks with Brudi, which were attened by the delegation accompanying King Abdullah, covered Europe's assistance to back Jordan's economic efforts including ways to ease Jordan's debts to EU states.

The talks also touched upon the situation in the Middle East and the current efforts to put an end to the cycle of violence and bring the peace process back into track.
