King Abdullah Meets Ahmed Qurei & Schwab

His Majesty King Abdullah II met on Saturday with Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmad Qurei, who briefed him on the outcome of his discussion with the U.S. State Secretary Bowel in Amman.



The King affirmed during the meeting the importance of exploiting meetings and dialogues that have started between the Palestinian and the US to create a detente on the peace process, reiterating his stands in support of the Palestinians side in the wake of their suffering from Israeli siege and incursions into Palestinian towns. In light of the ongoing events in the Palestinian areas, the Palestinians are called to unify their stance towards the peace initiatives to push the peace process forward.



Qurei praised the King's efforts, which created a diversion in the US and the international community stance towards the Palestinian issue. The two sides agreed to continue their coordination and consultation In a related context Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania met with President of International Economic Forum Professor Schwab, discussions focused on preparations and arrangements to host this forum at the Dead Sea, at which a great number of political, economic, civil society organizations, and NGOs across the world are taking part, His Majesty praised Schwab's efforts to succeed the Forum.
