His Majesty King Abdullah II Wednesday expressed his hope that Amman would be a regional center for information. He stressed that this hope can be achieved within a short time under the light of accelerating efforts exerted to fulfill this goal.

As he opened transformation of Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) into an electronic one , His Majesty expressed support to the good effort, ACC accomplished.

The project, which comes as implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah II's initiative to establish electronic government, aims at linking ACC's work with the accelerating information progress in a lot of government apparatus among other aims.

ACC Chairman, Hayder Murad said that the chamber's new career reflects His Majesty King Abdullah II's consistent efforts to develop national economy in all fields.

In his remarks to the ceremony attended by the Prime Minister and Chief of the Royal Court, Murad said also that measures have been taken to link the chamber with the various government departments.
