King Abdullah II launches wood factory in Aqaba

Production of wood has been started in Aqaba following a 17 year stop due to the stumbling and accumulated losses that inflected the factory. His Majesty King Abdullah II Thursday launched the new factory, owned by Red Seas Company, which will enable 120 workers out of 250 find job opportunities.

During meeting with the company's manager, His Majesty pointed out to the importance of benefiting from the free trade agreement with USA and Arab countries, by exporting the furniture manufactured from the wood produced by the company to these countries.

The King affirmed the necessity that the private sector use the investment opportunities and numerous facilities Aqaba Special Economic Zone has offered to Jordanian and foreign investors.
