King Abdullah II due to meet Chirac and Bush

Complementary to his efforts to lift the suffering of the Palestinian people and end the Israeli occupation, His Majesty King Abdullah II is due on July 26 to hold talks with French President Jack Chirac and on August 1st to meet with U.S President George Bush.
A responsible source in the Hashemite Royal Court affirmed that the King's visit to France and the US come within his endeavors to end the tragic situation the Palestinian people are living, due to the continued Israeli occupation, and to mobilize political support to Palestinian brethren, especially in this stage where features of solving the Palestinian Israeli conflict have started to be formed out. His Majesty used to affirm that such a solution must lead to establishment of a viable Palestinian state on the 4th of June borders.
King Abdullah II held talks in Abu Dhabi, where he arrived today, with Abu Dhabi Heir Apparent Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The discussions focussed on the enhancement of the remarkable bilateral relations between the two countries.
The talks focussed also on the current situation in the region, particularly in the Palestinian territories, and the Arab and international moves to release the peace process.
His Majesty pointed out to the nature of Jordan's move to revive the peace efforts. He touched on Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher's participation in the Quartet committee, which held on Tuesday a meeting to discuss the political steps to end the circle of violence in the Palestinian territories and the future of the Palestinian state.
His Majesty expressed appreciation of the United Arab Emirates' stand under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan in supporting Arab causes. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan is in a private visit outside the country.
Earlier, His Majesty concluded a two day visit to Oman.
